Job Responsibilities

Perform Safety Officer duties in according with F&IU (SO&SS) Regulation Cap 59.
Assist management to implement and maintain all policies and Safety Management systems.
Monitor corporate and site operations are in compliance of local health & safety regulations and contractual requirements.
Handle internal and external system audits and ISO certification.
Responsible for handling all matters related to safety aspects and enforcing the Company’s safety policies on construction site.
Facilitate a healthy and safe work environment for all staff and workers.
Assist to perform some site environmental duties when working on construction site.
Any other duties assigned by the department.

Requirements

Education / Qualifications

  • Diploma or above in Occupational Safety & Health or related discipline which accepted by Labour Department for RSO registration.

  • Professional Certificate in Safety Auditing or equivalent is an advantage.

  • With qualifications in Safety Auditing (SMS) ISO 9001/ ISO 45001/ OHSAS18001/ ISO14001, Environmental Officer training, etc. is an advantage.

  • Safety training techniques or equivalent

  • Holder a valid first aid certificate is an advantage

Work Experiences

.

  • At least 5 years post RSO experience in construction related health and safety matters.

  • At least 2 years relevant working experience in construction related health and safety matters for ASO.

  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese

  • Handle MTR projects experience is an advantage.

  • Hands on computer knowledge/operating skills

  • Independent & self-motivating

  • Immediate available is preferred

Works Related Requirements


  • Conduct regular inspection of construction sites to ensure contractor’s compliance with the required health & safety regulations

  • Provide safety training, carry out inspection, prepare incident / accident investigation & report.

  • Initiative, well-organized, independent with minimal supervision

  • Able to coordinate multi-projects

  • Need to perform shift duties including working on Saturday/Sunday, public holidays or night shift.
